GREENS UPDATE: 7/28/15: Temp greens remain on 15,18. Putting green closed.
7/25/15: Sod work has been completed and all greens have reopened except 3,4,15,18, & the putting green. If everything goes well we hope to open the remaining holes by the following weekend. Please use caution on newly sodded areas. Also if possible avoid unnecessary foot traffic across those areas. It will be a few weeks until the grass mends together to provide a smooth surface. Additional time will also be required until the cutting height can be lowered to normal lengths, which will produce faster green speeds.
7/18/15: Last week of renovations coming next week. Currently temp greens on the following: 1,2,5,6,7,8,9,13,15,18. With the large amount of affected areas we feel it's best to cancel evening leagues for 7/20-7/24. Some of the new greens have been cut twice. We are happy with the progress however some additional time will be required as they grow in.
7/14/15: Hole 6 & Putting green & part of 2 have new greens sod. Waiting for apron sod to finish them up. 18 green and 1 are stripped. We will be mowing for the first time holes 5, 6, 7.
7/10/15: Green, apron, and rough sod has been laid on holes 5 & 7. We couldn't be happier how they turned out. Hole 6 & the putting are stripped and top dressed, will have sod Saturday. As of the weekend temp greens on the following: 5, 6, 7, 8. Next week more work on the front 9. League play will stay mostly unaffected on the back 9.
7/5/15: Reconstruction work will begin Tuesday 7/7. The following will be replaced: PG,1,5,6,7,13,15,18 entire greens; 2,3,4,8,9,10 partial greens; aprons as needed. Temporary greens will be created on holes 1,5,6,7,13,15,18. We are hoping to have everything reopened 8/1. Thank you agian for your patience.
7/1/15: We have secured the services of McDonald and Sons (click for their website) to re-sod our dead spots that have not yet responded to seed. They have been to some great courses and we are confident they will be the best for the job. They are planning to have equipment here by Wednesday July 8th. This should be our quickest way to recovery. Thank you for your patience as we get through these difficult times.
6/17/15: We have received lab results indicating that a recent fungicide application contained trace amounts of an herbicide. This is what compromised some of our greens, collars, and approaches. We are working with the chemical manufacturer and distributor to remedy our situation. We believe about 20% of the contaminate remains in the soil. 2 products will be applied over the next few days to help speed the breakdown process. While we feel extremely unlucky purchasing this product, we do feel fortunate that only 35% of the total green area has been affected. We will be offering reduced rates while we recover. We thank you for your patience & understanding. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the pro shop.
